I'm getting married in less than four months with the man I've fallen in love with since 2008.
It all happened naturally, my fiance (wah i call him fiance now) and I didn't plan that we will be married this soon. We just go with the flow, knowing that we were comfortably dating until..yes until both side of the family started giving the hints "about time you get married.
And we did, both family finally met and set the date, wedding date will be on 29th October 2011. The mas kahwin would be RM80 and wang hantaran (dowry) will be RM7000 and dulang hantaran (gifts for bride & groom) for both sides are 7 dulang. It will be held at my brother's place, like all the wedding in our families, the solemnization in the morning and reception will start in at 12 pm to 5 pm.
The engagement occasion was really a simple one, only both family members were there. We follow Sunnah, engagement should not be spread or celebrated with others which will be contra with the solemnization. Simple Johorian food were served and negotiation between my brother and my becoming father in law about 30 minutes in the Multipurpose Hall of the Condominium. And i was waiting in the house with him. Haha recap, remember Sudin & Jeton in Bujang Lapok? both of us were waiting with much anticipation. The man infront of me were about to be my fiance at that time, we can't stop smiling goofly to each other. Fazli Yahaya is going to be my husband, InsyaAllah. Heee!
And I was called to be present at the Hall, like any other Malay engagement ceremony, my mother in law to be, put the ring on my chubby finger, we salam and kissed each other on cheeks, and officially we're engaged. I instantly felt relieved, this mother in front of me.. will be my mother in law in four months. I'm so lucky to be wed with a man with such a wonderful and loving family. Both families breaking the ice, getting to know, the siblings, the relatives and such and the occasion ended around 4pm.
The only set back was the feeling of wanting my late mother and late father to be there. They would be very happy if they are still alive. But i'm sure they are.. even from a far. Mama, Ayah.. Na nak kahwin dah.. InsyaAllah Bancik boleh jaga Na...Doakan Na & Bancik ya..
Alhamdulillah we took the second step and InsyaAllah if everything goes well, we'll be husband and wife soon.
Now let's get started with the wedding preparations... the only came into mind, simple wedding with pastels colors and only close family & friends...
